AusJourney is a Child Safe Organisation that provides a ‘one-stop shop’ for schools who need Bronze, Silver and/or Gold Adventurous Journeys for their students. Our aim is to reduce your administrative workload while providing a safe, educational and fun experience that meets and exceeds Duke of Ed Adventurous Journey requirements.

  • We provide highly trained and qualified instructors to supervise and assess your Adventurous Journey hike, who have:
    • a minimum Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation (or equivalent);
    • first aid qualifications and emergency management training;
    • working with children or vulnerable peoples check (depending on your state);
    • extensive experience coaching, supervising and assessing Adventurous Journeys; and
    • passion for the environment.
  • Our instructor to student ratio is 1:14, with a maximum of 2:24;
  • We have a Coordinator who is contactable 24/7 during your Adventurous Journey;
  • We have $10,000,000 public liability insurance;
  • We supply maps and compasses for your Adventurous Journey; and
  • Teachers attend for free
